Dichorisandra thyrsiflora ‘Blue Bamboo’ isn’t a bamboo but looks a little like one. This plant related to Tradescantia, has similar flowers and has gently arching stems with hanging flowers racemes.
It likes moisture retentive compost & warm temperatures. Grow it in rooms that stay around or above 15 Celsius. Modern double glazed & centrally heated homes could be perfect.
They will grow to around 1m (40″) tall and flower for months.
